Taking A Look At MS Edge For Linux In Linux Lite 5.x

What follows here are a series of images of MS Edge for Linux running in Linux Lite 5.x

In the image below you can see Linux Lite 5.x with the EOL Windows 7 wallpaper. Notice that Edge integrates easily with the XFCE panel.

In the next image you will see where Edge installs by default in the whisker menu. Note the classic four color MS logo.

It is set up to install like an app in the /opt/ file which makes it easy to remove later. See image below.

It is easy to set your home page to the current Linux Lite 5.x default search page and add a home button to the tool bar. See image below.

You can also set Edge to open to a specific page first every time. See image below.

Privacy and device settings are easy. See image below.

Family safety browsing monitoring is available. See image below.

Phone and device syncing are in the works and should become available when logging into your MS account becomes available. See image below.

Developer tools are simple but expect some big additions there soon. See image below.

All in all MS seems to be heading for a complete browser with the Edge for Linux that will ease some old cross platform integration problems with Linux. See more example images below.
